The Odd Case of the Indecisive Flasher

It’s apparently too much to ask demented criminals to leave alone Orange County women who walk their dogs in the morning.
At least in Abu Zar’s case, there’s something deeply alluring about that scenario.
It’s a sexual turn on.
The Orange County restaurant chain audit manager likes to drive up in his yellow Honda Civic without his pants on, start a conversation with the woman walking a dog, continually look down at his crotch and then expose his erect penis, according to court records.

Note to criminals: If you don’t want the police to arrest you, don’t flag them down on the street and ask them to check if you have open warrants.
That was the case in Lockland when 44-year-old Selma Elmore stopped Officer Dan Lyons on South Wayne Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Friday, police said.
Elmore asked the officer: Is there a curfew for adults in Lockland?
Braselton Police Search for ‘Dumb’ Criminals

Braselton Police say it shouldn’t be too hard to find out who the three men are that held up a Shell gas station and a nearby Little Caesar’s Pizza.
The men robbed both locations in Buford at gunpoint within 20 minutes of each other.
“These guys are going in there and they are just plain, bad, dumb guys,” Assistant Chief Lou Solis with Braselton police said. “And that is good for us.”
Not only did the men show their faces in front of the camera, police said they also wore the same clothes and drove the same car. A clerk said they dropped one of their guns running to the getaway car.

Ottawa Cops Search for Train Surfers

Transit police are on the hunt for the two men shown on YouTube hitching a ride on the back of the O-Train in a death-defying and “moronic” stunt.
The video was posted to YouTube last month under the title “morons trainsurf through tunnel under dow’s lake.”
It shows the men – one of them wearing a bloated, jowly Nixon-esque mask – charging towards an O-Train at Bayview Station, hopping onto the back, and riding it two stops south to Carleton University.
“One slip and these guys are toast,” said chief special constable Kim Weston-Martin. “My fear is we’re going to see some copycats.”

Bumbling, Stumbling Criminals

Nonetheless, let me offer a nugget of wisdom to anyone young enough and dumb enough, which possibly is redundant, to (1) wear baggy trousers and (2) attempt to commit a crime requiring hasty retreat.
In a single word: Don’t.
On Oct. 2, the News Sentinel carried a story, written by veteran reporter Jim Balloch, about a private citizen here in K-town who pursued a purse-snatching suspect, leading the cops to make an eventual arrest. If you missed the article, go look it up online, for it is perfectly hilarious.
